Join the United Way Board of Directors
Are you a passionate person who wants to make a difference in your community?
United Way GWP’s Board of Directors is an engaged group of leaders whose strategic decision-making and guidance steer our organization. Each member is the voice for their community in Goodhue, Wabasha & Pierce Counties. These leaders bring the passion, expertise, and resources needed to get things done.
If you live in Goodhue, Wabasha, or western Pierce Counties please consider joining our United Way Board. Board members serve a 3-year term, with an option for a second term.
Board Responsibilities
- Be committed.
- Actively serve on a committee: Finance Committee, Development Committee, and the Community Impact Committee.
- Participate and support fundraising activities, events and make a personal financial contribution.
- Board members should be committed to leadership growth and consider serving as President, Vice-President, Secretary, or Treasurer at some point.
Qualifications
- Candidates who have broad perspective, experience, and knowledge and independence of judgment contribute most effectively. Ideal candidates will have financial expertise and development/fundraising experience.
